Travel Berkey Water Filter Set – Berkey is one of the best-selling brands of water filters and purification systems worldwide and is recommended by various health magazines, laboratories and independent health websites. It has millions of satisfied customers around the world.
Berkey water filters remove more than 99.9% of chlorine, viruses, bacteria, cysts, pharmaceutical residues, parasites and hazardous chemical contaminants. Heavy metals are filtered out at a rate of 95% (up to almost 100% even with fluoride and arsenic filters). The essential minerals your body needs are retained in the process.
The Travel Berkey water filter comes as standard with 2 original Black Berkey filter cartridges. Black Berkey filter cartridges utilise the latest technological developments in water purification. Berkey water filters are therefore regarded as the best and most sustainable water filtration systems on the market and are the best-performing portable water filters. The Black Berkey filter cartridges have been tested by an independent laboratory in accordance with NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 53. See the laboratory report for further details.
The unit has a capacity of around 6 litres of water, which is more than enough for most purposes. You can use the Black Berkey filter cartridges for several years, meaning the unit pays for itself quickly compared to other brands of water filters.
The housing is made of polished stainless steel (304), ensuring long-term durability.
The Travel Berkey special offer set comprises the products listed below. Click on the item numbers for more information about the individual products. The products in the set:

The Travel Berkey can be easily assembled in a matter of minutes without the need for any tools. The first step in setting up a Berkey water filter is to prime the Black Berkey filter cartridges. It is important that this is done properly, otherwise it will take a very long time to purify the water. For full details about Berkey water filters, please refer to our library, which includes user guides, instructional videos and answers to frequently asked questions. If you’re unable to prime the system using the tap, then a automatic primer pump or manual primer pump order from us.

Right, buying a Berkey isn’t exactly cheap.
We’ve gone for the Travel Berkey with a standard tap and a stainless steel tap, plus a sight glass.
This came after a great deal of thought and research, weighing up the pros and cons of other filters and so on. So it certainly wasn’t a decision taken on the spur of the moment. Even so, I remained sceptical, as did my wife. Unfortunately, we’ve reached a point where you can no longer simply trust the quality of your food and water. So, a while ago, we actually went ahead and bought this Berkey.
Our scepticism proved unfounded. Although we had a few problems at the start getting it to seal properly (tightening the sight glass cap on top by hand turned out not to be enough), we’re both pleasantly surprised.
In our opinion, the water tastes much better than tap water, and we plan to use it for cooking our food as well.
Delivery via this company was very smooth and well organised. Any information I needed was also easy to find here.
In hindsight, it’s well and truly worth the price.
