As a family, we’re always on the lookout for the best products to help our green lifestyle to support. As well as pure, unprocessed food, we believe that drinking clean, pure water very important. However, despite increasingly advanced techniques at water treatment plants, it is not possible to remove harmful substances entirely. At least not in a way that keeps our drinking water affordable. And when you hear that our water is becoming increasingly contaminated with traces of medicines, pesticides or lead, we believe it is worth filtering our water with a Berkey water filter.

The importance of good, clean water

Water boosts the metabolism, improves blood flow to our organs and strengthens our immune system. A healthy water balance is essential for our well-being and health. Water ensures that minerals and trace elements reach every cell in our body; furthermore, water has a internal cleansing function. Our bodies need water to flush out toxins, which is why we want to drink water that is as pure as possible, so as not to put any unnecessary strain on our bodies. That’s how we came across the Berkey water filter, the most powerful gravity filter on the market. Our motivations

As a family, we try to drink enough water, which is why we find that the quality of our drinking water is important. We also want to take responsibility in this regard. How the Berkey water filter works

When I poured myself a glass of water, it was actually clean and crystal-clear. Test passed!

Installation, priming and maintenance

The first step in Preparing a Berkey water filter is the priming of Black Berkey filters. It is important that this is done properly, otherwise it will take a very long time to purify the water. For the cleaning We recommend cleaning the unit once a month. The bottom and top compartments can simply be washed with soapy water and warm water. The Black Berkey filters Clean it once every six months, or if you notice a significant drop in filter flow rate and priming no longer improves the flow rate. The Black Berkey filters You just need to wash it under cold running water with a scouring pad. This will open up the pores again and get rid of all the dirt. We recommend priming the filters once every three months. This is because the speed of filtering it’s that time again.
