We recommend cleaning the filter elements once a month, as well as the containers and other parts of your water filter. However, if you notice a change in the taste or smell of the water, and/or experience a slowdown in the flow rate, this may indicate that your filters need cleaning.
Cleaning
PLEASE NOTE! Do NOT use soap when cleaning a filter element. Ensure that NO water enters the filter element’s shaft.
It is important that no water gets into the blue shaft of the filter element. So hold the filter element by the base and run it under cold running water for about 2 minutes. Whilst water is flowing continuously over the filter element, scrub the white ceramic outer surface with the scouring pad provided. Rinse it thoroughly and set it aside until it is ready to be reinstalled.
