Berkey Water Filter Anti-Airlock Clip (Vapor Lock Clip) – This clip prevents a vacuum from forming in the lower chamber of your Berkey water filter and is easy to fit onto the rim of the lower chamber. You can also use it on other brands of water filters if you experience a vacuum problem with them.
Sometimes there is still plenty of water left in the lower chamber of your Berkey water filter, but when you try to draw water, none comes out. This is known as an ‘airlock’ (vacuum). It means the two chambers fit together so perfectly that no air can get in. It’s difficult to predict when this might happen, but it’s certainly a nuisance.
This product is the solution to that!
Place the Berkey Water Filter Anti-Airlock Clip on the rim of the lower chamber of your Berkey water filter, with the rounded side facing outwards. Then place the upper chamber on top. The clip ensures that air can always circulate and that a vacuum cannot form. Problem solved!
