Microbiol Kind is a unique probiotic in drop form, specially developed for babies from birth and young children up to the age of 4. Contains no flavourings or other unnecessary additives. Ideal for applying to the nipple whilst breastfeeding, for adding to formula milk or simply for administering on a spoon. Contains 1 billion cfu (colony-forming units, i.e. the number of viable bacteria capable of multiplying and forming a colony) of the Bifidobacterium BB-12 bacterial strain.

Manufacturer: Chr. Hansen
Chr. Hansen is the manufacturer of this bacterial strain and has been responsible for a great deal of research into this specific strain (including studies involving babies). Bifidobacterium BB-12 is supported by 370 scientific publications and 180 human studies, making it the best-supported Bifidobacterium strain. That is quite unique and very important! Not all bacterial strains (designated by a suffix such as BB-12) are the same, even though they belong to the same genus (in this case, Bifidobacterium) and the same species (Bifidobacterium lactis). Therefore, strain-specific research is particularly significant.

Safety and ease of use
The standards for a probiotic specifically intended for babies and young children are very high. Safety and ease of use play an even greater role here than with products for adults. Specific studies have been carried out with Bifidobacterium BB-12 to demonstrate the safety of this strain in young children. These studies have shown that BB-12 is completely safe in a product for babies and young children and is very well tolerated. The drops are also very easy to use.

About the name Microbiol
The name Microbiol is derived from ‘microbiome’. This refers to the totality of all micro-organisms that live on and in our bodies, such as the gut flora. These are the bacteria that have been part of our gastrointestinal tract since birth. They include, amongst others, bifidobacteria.

Ingredients
Sunflower oil (Helianthus annuus), Bifidobacterium lactis, antioxidant (dl-alpha-tocopherol).

Usage
Shake well before each use (30 seconds)*. Give 6 drops a day on a spoon or mixed with (lukewarm) milk or other food

* The live bacteria (Bifidobacterium lactis) in this product settle at the bottom. It is therefore important to shake it well before each use (for 30 seconds) to mix the powder with the oil as thoroughly as possible. Some powder may also remain in the dropper, preventing it from dispensing properly. Shaking for 30 seconds helps to loosen the mixture again.

When taking an antibiotic, it is advisable to leave at least 2 hours between taking Microbiol Kind and the antibiotic.

Save
Keep tightly closed and store at room temperature. Once opened, do not store in the fridge and use within 4 weeks.
