The stainless steel sight glass tap for the Pure Filters Family is an accessory that adds both style and functionality. It complements the design of the Pure Filters stainless steel water filters. By replacing the standard stainless steel tap supplied, this high-quality stainless steel sight glass tap allows you to read the water level directly in the lower chamber of your Pure Filters Family water filter. That way, you’ll know for sure when it’s time to refill the top tray.
 

(Multi)functional

With most gravity-fed water filters, you have to lift the top container to see how much water is left in the bottom one. But a quick glance at the sight glass is all you need to determine the exact water level in your Pure Filters stainless steel water filter (Pure Filters Family water filter).

However, the stainless steel sight glass tap for Pure Filters water filters also fits most other brands of gravity-fed water filter systems, including Berkey, ProOne, British Berkefeld, Alexapure, Moderna, Aqua Logic, Boroux, AquaCera and Patriot Pure. Please note that it must be the 12-litre version.
 

Stainless steel sight glass tap for the Pure Filters Family water filter

The housing is made of stainless steel (304) and consists of a glass tube that allows you to read the water level quickly and easily using the coloured ball. This tap with a sight glass is fitted with a plastic handle (approved for food safety) with two settings and a sight glass. When it’s time to clean your stainless steel water filter, simply remove the tap, take out the sight glass via the cap at the top and rinse the glass tube with soap and water. BE CAREFUL not to lose the ball! Then leave it to air dry.

2 high-quality silicone rings for a perfect seal.

1x stainless steel wing nut for secure fitting.
1x yellow tightening tool, specially designed to make it easier to tighten the nut, even in tight spaces.
 

Installation of a stainless steel sight glass tap for the Pure Filters Family water filter

1. Remove the nut and, if necessary, all four parts (cover plates and white rings) from the threaded stem of the tap
2. Fit a stainless steel cover plate and then a white ring onto the threaded stem of the tap.
3. Insert the threaded rod through the hole in the lower chamber of the water filter.
4. Place a white ring and then a stainless steel cover plate onto the threaded stem on the inside of the lower chamber of the water filter.
5. Secure it with the nut. You may need the tightening tool to tighten it securely. Alternatively, you can hold the nut on the inside and turn the tap on the outside. Do not overtighten it, but it must not leak.
