Nature works in a very simple way. It has two basic movements. One to break down life, to recycle it, and one to build life up. The breaking-down movement is the spiral from the inside out in 3D, the explosion, the centrifugal movement. That movement is accompanied by noise, heat and increasing friction. Nature’s constructive movement is the movement from the outside inwards: the centripetal movement. In other words, the vortex. This is accompanied by silence, cooling and increasing gravitational pull. This is why everything that ‘lives’ in nature utilises this movement. It is the uplifting, vitalising movement. What is the MAYU Swirl Graystone made of?

The carafe
The MAYU Swirl Graystone hand-blown glass carafe is lightweight, crystal-clear, dishwasher-safe, Class A tempered borosilicate glass. The water-drop design prevents stagnant areas within the carafe, allowing all the water to flow freely. A 1.5-litre mark is engraved on the side of the carafe.

The basics
The vortex generator is housed in the porcelain base of the MAYU Swirl. The solid-state load cells detect the presence of the carafe, causing the swirling motion to start automatically. The power and speed of the vortex generator are automatically adjusted based on the amount of water in the carafe, creating a constant and perfect vortex. You can easily switch the vortex generator off again using the touchscreen button.
The piece is crafted from pure Jingdezhen porcelain, coloured using only natural mineral pigments, and is inspired by a pebble found at the bottom of a flowing river. PLEASE NOTE! Each base is unique and therefore no two bases are the same in terms of colour gradient, as they are made from a porcelain mixture. The design shown in the photos accompanying this product may therefore differ slightly from the product you receive. As you can see in the photos, each base looks just a little bit different.

Instructions for use:

Leave the MAYU Swirl Graystone running for about 5 to 10 minutes to ensure the water is sufficiently aerated.

The MAYU Swirl produces a faint humming sound when in use. This is due to the technical nature of the device and is caused by the rotating drive unit, which creates the precise swirling motion of the water.

💡 Good to know:
This sound is normal during use and indicates that the Swirl is optimally structuring and oxygenating the water – a subtle sign of fresh, revitalised water.
