The BOROUX Legacy Compact water filter in sage green comes as standard with 2 BOROUX Foundation Black filters. These BOROUX filters reduce, amongst other things, more than 99% of chlorine, heavy metals, pharmaceutical contaminants (medicine residues), pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, plastic and industrial contaminants (PFAS), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), microplastics and disinfection by-products. The essential minerals your body needs are retained in the process.

The materials and every component have been carefully selected. The containers are made from AISI 304 stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance, whilst a fixed notch in the lower container prevents a vacuum from forming. Different colours, unique design

The BOROUX Legacy Compact water filter is available in four colours. In addition to the polished model it’s also available in the colour white, black and sage green. These versions feature a high-quality coating (on the outside only), and of course the tap and all other parts are also in this colour. A truly unique design!

The advanced filter technology not only filters the water, but also transforms it. By removing more than 99% of harmful contaminants, it ensures BOROUX Foundation Black filters ensures that your water is as pure and refreshing as nature intended. Every reduction in contamination helps to improve your health and wellbeing!

The filters consist, amongst other things, of a special blend of activated carbon. The BOROUX Foundation Black filter elements contain silver, an antimicrobial agent, to prevent micro-organisms from damaging the product itself. These filters are not designed to filter out micro-organisms.
They are also so powerful that they can remove red colourings from water without stripping away the beneficial minerals your body needs.

Installation

The BOROUX Legacy Compact sage green can be easily assembled in a matter of minutes without the need for tools. The first step is to prime the BOROUX Foundation Black filter elements. It is important that this is done properly, otherwise it will take a very long time to purify the water. If you’re unable to prime the system using the tap, then a automatic primer pump or manual primer pump order from us.
 

When should you replace the BOROUX Foundation Black filters?

The BOROUX Foundation Black filters have been designed to last for many years. However, we now live in a different era to that of just a few years ago. The number of pollutants has only increased, and they have become increasingly severe (think, for example, of PFAS or the significant rise in pharmaceutical residues, pesticides, etc.). This has a huge impact on the filters, meaning it is better to replace them a little sooner. We therefore recommend that you BOROUX Foundation Black filters Replace every 3 years at most, assuming average use and the use of tap water. If you use water from a different source, it is advisable to replace it sooner.
